Again that post doesnt have to do with people defecating openly. The real figure is India 51% which include hundreds million in cities also. While in Pakistan only 18% and in remote villages. Indians favorite spot for poo poo are rivers.

I remembered an Australian olympian refused to compete in Commonwealth game in 2010 in India because India litered with all the public poop and stink of human waste freaked him out.

Its quite normal in Indian cities, people poo in streets. Its combination of extreme poverty not seen anywhere else in the world and culture in which seeing people defecate in streets is considered normal.
