I think the keep difference here is that a dragon has wings, while a Loong does not.

Western dragons have larger bodies with a long neck and long tail + reptilian wings. Chinese dragons have a long sinuous body like a snake and a lions mane.

Oddly enough the dragon banner in the western fantasy series 'the wheel of time' is a Chinese dragon.
