A good news! TAI expressed that They are negotiating with Pakistan to sell sat controlled Anka-S variant for Pakistan Navy. It is expected to reach the success thnks to reference of Atak deal.

Once the Ada and 054A come, I think the F-22P will stick out like a sore thumb. It's neither as good as the other two, but it requiring as many people to run it as the 054A (and a lot of diesel, though maybe not as much). The 2020s will be key, if the PN doesn't opt to update the F-22Ps next decade then that should tell us a lot about that ship's future come 2030s.

I completely agree. The thing is though what are the options amd how much are you willing to invest? Would it maybe be better to sell them to a third country (maybe) if possible, and use the cash for possibly another 2 Type 054A?

Personally, i think upgrades are possible, even at a reasonable price. I thinknthe most realistic would be induction of Pantsir-M with the 57E6-E missile (20km) or the 30km Hermes K. Replace the FM-90 and both Type 730 with Pantsir-m (ideally woth hermes) giving the F-22P 24 missiles woth 20-30km range and 6 guns.

If the Pantsir is not possible, then add 6 HQ-10 to the type 730. Maybe exchange fm90 for FL-3000N.
