He will be tried in the US for sure..first because the US is a land of institutions, second because he has violated the ethical code of conduct of the US military by driving while drunk.. it is a civilian offence as well..

US Defense Attaché Col. Joseph E. Hall was reportedly speeding under the influence of alcohol when he hit two Pakistani citizens on a motorbike, one of whom died on the spot. He refused to dismount the vehicle and couldn't be arrested due to "diplomatic immunity".

Diplomatic immunity can be revoked under extraordinary circumstances. In 1997, a Georgian Diplomat killed a teenage girl in a drunk-driving crash in Washington. USA asked Georgia to waive his immunity, which they did. This is manslaughter. He shouldn't get away with this.

@defencedotpk Sad that Diplomatic Immunity always allows people to get away with it. In this case, it's manslaughter but sad that an innocent life was lost.

@defencedotpk Is he allowed to drive while drunk in America. If it was household of some political leader he will see still get that immunity. Is life is so worthless in Pakistan. Law is for everyone he is here is he need to obey the law. Shame on them on let him go.

@defencedotpk Supposedly, if, a Pakistani Defense attache ran someone in Washington DC under influence and refused to dismount from the vehicle, would a Metropolitan Police Department's COP give a two hoot about diplomatic immunity or not? Question?

there are other examples too

e.g
In a stark similarity, in February 2013, a Capital Development Authority (CDA) employee died and his companion was injured critically when an over speeding vehicle with US embassy number plate hit their motorcycle.
