The second prototype of PAK-FA flight tested - successfully

. .
He has a chinese flag on his info, so I'm gonna assume he's at least part chinese....or in china. Regardless russia made a cool looking metal flying death machine.

Ooooooh. Ptld3 is going to be on your a** now. He is the protector of Mother Russian technology and especially the PAK FA.

I meant death machine in that it's main function is to kill things, not that the pilots are gonna die due to it being a piece of garbage. :P

But let him come at me. I will challenge him to Mortal Kombat, as is standard protocol in Boston

I hope they remove the IRST from the nose! It add at least 0.1 m^2 of RCS!!!

We can read in nomal font, thank you. And where did you get this 0.1m2 figure from? Atleast know what you are talking about before you parade your yourself in large font.

To reduce drag during tests, towed spheres of 6", 14" or 22" diameter may be used instead of the larger 44" sphere, and the
reference size is 0.018, 0.099 or 0.245 m2 respectively instead of 1 m2. When smaller sized spheres are used for tests you
may be operating at or near where 8-radius. If the results are then scaled to a 1 m2 reference, there may be some
perturbations due to creeping waves. See the discussion at the end of this section for further details

One test showed a figure of 0.018M2 for a 6" sphere. Range and frequency were not taken into account but the further away an object is the more difficult it will be to detect, in real modern day combat most aircraft will have a standoff range or firing range of ~10-70km, if we assume the pak-fa's sphere will have a similar figure than it is safe to assume that i will not be picked up. Moreover, an IRST housing will be treated for RCS reduction, further reducing RCS.

Here is a photoshoped picture showing a grey color scheme:

The IRST's signature is important for opponents coming in from the front.
It won't matter for the radars on ground.
But this is only a prototype, many changes can be made yet.

Anyways the T-50 is an amazing technological leap.

BTW: J-20 is a bit similar to this, but there's no proof that it's better or not. It also has canards !! I don't even know if the Chinese have the tech level to hide those from the radar.

Please Cut the crap and leave your wet dreams to yourself...:disagree:

Wet dreams ? why ? So according to you, the Russians not only cannot produce a LO plane, but they can't even produce some grey paint ?

oh man , i have been so mistaken for so long.... !

He's a dumb troll, don't waste your time with him.

When have I ever defended ptldM3?

As for those two I generally leave it be, unless facts needed to be shown.

And seriously mind your own business.:blah:

OK buddy now you are on straight path
we Indians and our Russian friends defend PAK FA in the same way as you defend j-20:azn::P
