Didn't watch the video but anybody who claims that Russia has risen after the collapse of the Soviet Union doesn't have the slightest idea of the current geopolitical dynamics.

Russia is still losing on the battlefield against the West, China and even many regional powers like Turkey, S. Korea, Pakistan or India.

Don't take the annexation of Crimea as an example of Russia's power projection. Ukraine was once the heartland of Russia. Today it's overwhelmingly pro-Western except Crimea and some parts of Eastern Ukraine.

Take away Russia's energy resources and they couldn't even match India. Think about it.

The Russians don't lose decisively but they're losing every day.
