HÜRKUŞ-A: Basic version which is to be certified with EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) according to CS-23 requirements.

HÜRKUŞ-B: Advanced version with integrated avionics (including HUD, MFDs, and Mission Computer). Following the completion of taxi tests, the first aircraft of HÜRKUŞ-A Configuration successfully performed its first flight on August 29, 2013 at TAI's facilities. Consequent to the flight permission of SHGM (Turkish Civil Aviation General Directorate) and EASA the first flight, which lasted 33 minutes, was performed with open landing gear position at a height of 9500 ft. During the flight, the first checks were performed on control surfaces and a successful landing was realized.

The Karayel

Karayel can take off, land and fly a designated mission fully autonomously without assistance from a pilot. Payload capacity and variations are available for both civil and military applications.

It has a maximum take off weight of 550 Kg with a payload capacity 70 Kg. Its cruise speed is 80 knots, with an endurance of 20 hours and an operational ceiling of 22,500 feet.

The Karayel UAV showcased at High Tech Port 2016 is fitted with two MAM-L Smart Micro Munition (SMM) by Turkish company Roketsan.

Some awesome development here. Honestly as much as I hate Erdogan's’ policies especially the ones that led to the rise of IS, I must admit he’s worked very well for his country. Managed to play Europe, US, Russia and the entire Middle East against each other to get Turkey to the top. He outsmarted everyone through these years until he was able Turkey to a strong enough position that it doesn’t need anyone anymore (I know that’s not entirely the case). But the advances and developments in Turkey in the past years speak for themselves. infrastructure, arms production, economic and technological development...

Really hope Iraq and Turkey could get together and start a real partnership built on mutual interest for both countries.

Also lots of people doubting and saying it’s going to take forever to develop some of these technologies. Both the US and Russia started from scratch, It took billions and decades to get the technology they have now. Everyone starts from somewhere. Luckily Turkey has plenty of imported technology they can reverse engineer and put to good use.

Turkish Aerospace ANKA MALE Class Multi-Role UAV Systems ( Blok-A / Blok-B / Anka-S ) ANKA, advanced Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) class Unmanned Aerial System, performs day and night, all-weather reconnaissance, target detection / identification and intelligence missions with its EO/IR and SAR payloads, featuring autonomous flight capability including Automatic Take-off and Landing. ANKA incorporates a heavy-fuel engine and electroexpulsive Ice Protection System with an Advanced Ground Control Station and dual datalink allowing operational security and ease. ANKA, which has taken its rightful place in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory, has accumulated more than 20.000 flight hours in different geographical locations and demanding environmental conditions.

Baykar BAYRAKTAR AKINCI UNMANNED COMBAT AERIAL VEHICLE SYSTEM Bayraktar Akıncı Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle System, which is currently under development by Baykar, has a 40,000 feet service ceiling and 4.5 tons of take-off weight. The aircraft platform will be equipped with two turboprop engines and critical payloads such as EO/IR camera, AESA radar, Beyond Line of Sight (satellite) communication and electronic support systems, enabling a longer endurance and advanced reconnaissance and attack capability. Longer and wider than its predecessor Bayraktar TB2, Akıncı has a wingspan of 20 meters with its unique bended design and will be able to fire multiple smart munitions. With its proprietary artificial intelligence system, the system will be also much smarter and aware of its operating environment, offering improved flight and diagnostic functions. Aimed to be the leading edge in its class globally, Akıncı is planned to have its maiden flight in October 2019.

Turkish Aerospace ANKA 2 / AKSUNGUR It is a Medium Altitude Long-Air Unmanned Aerial Vehicle System that performs Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Attack Missions during the day / night with EO / IR, SAR and SIGINT utility loads and various air-to-ground weapons. ANKA-AKSUNGUR has two double turbocharged engines that allow long-term operations up to 40000 ft. It is planned to start active duty in 2020.

Baykar BAYRAKTAR TB2 ARMED TACTICAL UAV Medium-altitude, long-enduranceclass UAS purposed for armed reconnaissance operations. Bayraktar is an all-in-one solution with immediate see-and-hit capability to ensure no collateral damage. The Armed Bayraktar TB2 provides armed reconnaissance, persistent airborne surveillance, and target acquisition for the Turkish Armed Forces. The TB2 can carry up to 4 smart munitions.

Vestel DI Karayel Autonomous reconnaissance and surveillance platform and is the first Turkish Tactical UAV System designed and manufactured in accordance with NATO ‘Airworthiness’ standard; STANAG 4671.

Vestel DI Karayel-SU has a longer wingspan, as well as end-plates on its wing tips and two hardpoints for payload under each wing. Each one of the hardpoints can carry 30 kg, meaning that the total payload capacity of the KARAYELSU under its wings is 120 kg. The wing hardpoints can also be equipped with payloads other than munitions. The KARAYEL-SU also retains the ability to carry 50 kg EO/IR payload at the fuselage payload bay.

Z-Sistem Ucankaya CRH Unmanned Intermesh UAV System (ÇRH) similar to the other helicopter (tailed rotor system) systems but it works with two separated intermeshing rotors and they are connected two propeller systems rotating in opposite directions to each other.

Otonom Teknoloji DOLUNAY The spherical shaped DOLUNAY, which can be operated by two personnel rapidly and practically in limited areas, is a portable aerostat product family. One of the features that distinguishes DOLUNAY from its competitors is its pressure balancing system. Used in upper class balloons, the system allows DOLUNAY
to carry out its mission for a duration of approximately one week.
Otonom Teknoloji DORUK can carry payloads of over 300 kg, and can carry out its mission unremittingly for durations of over one week, allows the aerial vehicle to conduct its mission even under the most challenging of weather conditions, such as winds up to speeds of 80 km per hour.

List did not include some domestic UAV systems that were mostly produced for civilian market or for purposes such as traffic control and aerial photography. In addition, military UAV projects which planning was announced but not officially launched (or not announced yet) are not included in the list. Projects such as TAI Hale Class Advanced UCAV, TAI's tactical armed rotary wing ucav , Baykar VTOL UAV and Baykar/TAI MIUS turbofan Ucav are some of them.

I don't understand much about military hardware, but reading all these achievements by our TURK brothers makes me very happy, more success to Turkey (InshaAllah).
