The PPPP has no intention to have elections in Feb 2013

I strongly believe that the PPPP has no intention to hold elections in early 2013 as they are supposed to. The main reason is that they are close to reach a deal with MQM on the local body elections.

The govt. has increase the allocation of fund to Benazir Income Support Program to Rs. 150 Billion. This fund will be used to illegaly win the local body elections and then to use the local bodies to delay the elections.

What do you think?

No they dont have any plans since bilawal bhutto till isnt 25 years old so when h*** k*** p**** become 25 years old i guess i August election will be annonuced

If PPP does not announce the elections by Nov. 2012 (to be held in Feb 2013) then, mark my words, they will be dead and buried and there will be blood bath in the country. Let us hope and pray that they don't reach this level of stupidity.

Elections will take place on time...

Election Commission on the instructions of CJ is going to hold the elections if Government is going to mess around. Election Commission is technically bound to the orders of Supreme Court

PPP simply lacks the popularity among the masses and they being a democratic party cannot postpone the elections beyond the 5 years term

eerrr.....hmmm..... I take it with a pinch. Constitutionally, it is the PM's (Govt.) right to instruct the EC to hold elections.

I think they have no intention to hold elections. The reason is that criminal president's term expires in september 2013 and why would they risk prosecution from another unknown government? Plus, the chief justice and army chief are also retiring after february 2013. So there is all the reason to have more freedom after that and the election can easily be extended by a year on the excuse of 'uncertain security situation'.

Its in Pakistan interest to get rid of these thieves. But Pakistan's interest is always secondary to individual interest of the one sitting in the president office.

Nope, its President by convention...

SC has got nothing to do with it...

1) Elections can be delayed, there is some provision that allows.

2) last time General Yahya didnt call assembly after elections, and we went into dismemberment...

What if this time, after losing elections, President doesnt call assembly or after winning loaing PTI PMLN JI and others dont comply with the results?
