I am just speechless on this new development. Do active servicemen on this forum expect to be treated in this way after their retirement?

The Ministry of Defence has stated that it does not recognize or endorse the activities of “certain associations of persons masquerading as or claiming to be ex-servicemen societies" including Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) and Veterans of Pakistan (VoP) .

The idea that Retired officers are lesser in value is shameful

This needs to change and the retired officers have a valuable input in matters of country

Just like any citizen of Pakistan

I don't understand why the Anyone has to release a press release in this matter , we all know the folks are retired but they still have same Patriotic drive as when they were not retired.

I hope the mindset is reviewed and retired folks are respected for their past service

Well Bajwa addressed ex service men saying, he had to ‘guide’ Imran Khan, discouraged him from choosing Buzdar as Punjab CM, or how IK was not listening to his advisors. And bla bla..

Maybe Bajwa needs to be called by HR department and made to understand his actual job description.

Coming back to the topic, Bajwa thought after a session with ex servicemen they’d fall in line. But the anecdotal veil had been removed and software couldn’t be updated, hence this move.

What is the purpose of the defence ministry other than signing Cheques for the khakis. Army has control over all defense matters and policies.

This is the correct stand.

For example, As the commander in Chief of Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, if Raheel Sharif declares war against Iran, Pakistan Army has no obligation to join.
