There is a global demand and even in Britain Tech companies are making Breathing apparatus in an emergency! The Italians have said that at the end the need for Ventilators is what becomes crucial for the patients in keeping them alive. This should be prioritised in the country to make ventilators by the engineering universities and engineering companies.

How dare he!

Doesn't he know that the Docile Duo in Pindi and Islamabad are under the spell of the IMF and its people in the Finance Ministry and State Bank?

We can't do anything that the country actually needs, you see, because our economic conditions won't allow it -- and social unrest will ensue.

DON'T BUY THIS BULLSHIT.

This line of thinking would have kept us from going nuclear (US sanctions then, sword of FATF + IMF repayments now) with exactly the same arguments.

i am not expert but a machine which inflates tires of car, bicycle with air may be used for this purpose if pressure is controlled to safe limit.I apologize if my suggestion is wrong

that pours mix air contains oxygen and many other gases.. but in ventilator you need to only pour pure oxygen and not other gases to get direclty mix up with blood.

Sir, the problem here is not the shortage of ventilators, its also the shortage of trained medical personnel to "staff" them. Not all doctors and nurses are trained to use ventilators, not all nurses understand the reason for PEEP ventilation, CPAP ventilation or ACMV, and invasive or non-invasive ventilation.

This is what people dont understand. Putting some on Ventilator is a massive task. You have to sedate them to the point that they are medically dead and breathing is controlled by an artificial machine such as Ventilator. You need properly trained anesthetists who can intubate/extubate patient along with trained ICU nurse.

Ventilators are not really expensive , its the cost of running it. For instance an ICU bed at AKU hospital in karachi or Shifa hosp in Isb costs around US $ 1000 dollars per day.

Why its banned?

Not exactly a ban, but you need an NOC (due to an unnecessary fear) which is quite cumbersome . With conditions like these, say goodbye to R&D.

Below person is not me BTW

Somebody has started thinking about it when the government had its head in sand. This is why we need to shift R&D to private sector.

No, you don't give pure oxygen. In fact, a variable oxygen/air mixture is needed.

At the bottom end of ambubag , there is a port for oxygen. Which is adjustable, depending upon patient need in order to maintain blood oxygen level usually above 96%.
