The IAF Wants A ‘3 x BrahMos’ Load-Out Option

We developed our own successful programs and
Like what??? mostly foreign import..
where India standing, even this Brahmos is Russian and paint job by India.
So any counterpart to these

SAM (Akash, Barak 8, Qrsam)
Aesa radar (Arudhra, Ashwini, Atulya, NMDR etc etc HPR )
Early warning (Netra, Awacs I )
War Ships (kolkata, vizag, kamorta, shivalik )
Subs (Arihant, scorpene)
Artillery guns (Dhanush, ATAGS, Dhanush MGS)
Sonars (Humsa, towed array sonar)
etc...

What exactly is that one ? (I have seen the pic on BEL's website)
yes Naval Missile Defence Radar..........might be naval version of ashwini radar

Naval Missile Defense Radar (NMDR) is a Multi Function Active phased array Radar with Solid state Transceiver for Naval applications. The Radar provides the 3 dimensions of the target of interest along with Doppler of the target in tactical scenarios.

NMDR employs on receive multi-beam in elevation with mono pulse in both azimuth and elevation, Digital Pulse compression, Pulse Doppler and many Advanced and contemporary Technologies, with very elegant and modular architecture. These technologies enable detection of very low RCS missile targets from complex land and sea clutter and jamming environment.

NMDR has very light weight antenna and can be easily accommodate on wheeled vehicles and small ships.

FEATURES
  • Multi-beam Elevation processing
  • Monopulse in both Azimuth and Elevation
  • Pulse compression and Pulse Doppler processing
  • Light weight Antenna (less than 2 tons)
  • Low power mode of operation
  • Least jammed detection and effective radar operation by frequency management
  • War time and Peace time frequencies of operation

helicopters (HAL ALH, LCH, LUH)

add to that IMRH in very near future in multiple role

Now lets get back to the hogwash of loading 3 Brahmos on one MKI

2.5 ton per missile is too heavy for any fighter jet to carry even single one. They are dreaming 3. Delusion is the word here.
Also the special modification of SU-30MKI to carry one Brahmos on central pylon is riddled with delays. 42 sukhois had to be modified and so far only 1 or 2 have been modified. Also the special modification is a double edged sword. The aircraft fuselage needs to be stiffened for carrying heavy weight Brahmos and that means welding extra frames and hence increase in the jet's weight, increasing fuel consumption , loss in range and certain maneuvering characteristics permanently.
Hi shaheen missile!
Yes it was riddled with delays because it was carried out entirely in India without any russian technical assistance(in spite of the fact that Russians are the OEMs). In case you have have any doubts, kindly watch this seminar on structural modifications and development of air launched version of Brahmos- It was carried out entirely in India

The Brahmos-NG they were talking about will be below 1 tonne catgegory-- the aim is to equip naval fighters such as Mig-29K and possibly rafale to take advantage of Brahmos. The range wouldnt probably be as high as 600km(the true potential of Brahmos after MTCR mods), however it will still have a deadly range of 300kms.
