The great game in south asia

South asia has become a political hotbed. two major world economies are trying to fight a strategic war with the US AND INDIA on one side and CHINA and PAKISTAN on the other side. both the parties are leaving no stone unturned in gaining a strong foothold i the region as a result the smaller countries are getting sucked into such a conflict and also gaining great significance.

how are the other countries of south asia faring in this regard ,do they have it in them to keep these world powers at bay and provide a balance between these two.what is the immediate future < next5 years > hold for south asia.


please this is not a X vs Y thread so dont get into a dick fight only discuss the implications of such a scenerio., and what can be done.

I don't accept your premise. The US is not fighting with or trying to damage Pakistan in any sense. The US has not chosen sides in any India vs. Pakistan competition. The only thing the US is doing that might be construed as anti-Pakistan is trying to defeat the international jihadis that have taken refuge in Pakistan. But they are a problem for a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan as well. So I think this thread is just a Russki stirring up trouble.......

sir i clearly mentioned above this is not a X VS Y thread.so no point in saying that the thread is aimed to cause trouble.
i have mentioned here all the countries and not only THE US , agree or disagree with me but every country in south asia is getting affected maybe the people staying and living there will know more than me and you sir so let us see for ourselves what their opinion is about this thread. why jump to conclusions if they feel that what i have posted is not the case fine then< AND I RESPECT THEIR OPINION AS I RESPECT YOURS > or if they feel there is some truth in it atleast then we can discuss about it. atleast we are trying to discuss about solutions and not about cause of the problem, so i no ways its a thread to bring hate into the equation.

What US is doing is not on its own accord.

US foreign policy is 100 &#37; controlled by Israel, and they just can't live with Pakistan being a nuclear state as it an extremely major threat to their existence.

US = ISRAEL

Israel is now facing the fact that USA is badly inured and will not live for long, therefore they are in such a hurry to destabilize Pakistan as quickly as they can.

The US cant afford another war especially with China. I know because I live in the US, none of my friends want to eat out in a nice restaurant anymore everyone's been affected by the economy here.

I think the small countries should take advantage if they want to get some thing out of the conflict instead of taking sides by sticking to a anti-X or anti-Y stance for good.
That is what India did during cold war...
But those were different times and India suffered from suspicions of both sides.

The situation now is ideal for the strategy India adopted during cold-war. Since the countries involved are not bound by one single factor like X or Y(Communism or socialism during cold war).

THERE IS NO DOUGHT THAT US IS NURTURING INDIA TO BECOME A GLOBAL POWER TO CATER CHINA. THE NUCLEAR POWER DEAL THE NAVAL RECONISANCE AIRCRAFT DEAL AND THE PATRIOT MISSILE DEFENCE SHEILD DEAL SPEAK OUT LOUD THAT WAT EXACTLY US IS DOING AND WHAT ARE ITS INTENTIONS.
ISRAEL ALSO SOLD E3 SENTRY AWACS TO INDIA. WE WERE NOT OFFERD ANY AWACS FORM THE US EVEN BEING A FRONTLINE AND NONNATO ALLY IN THE WAR AGAINST TERROR.
THE BALANCE OF POWER IS SURELY DISTURBED DUE TO SUCH DEALS AND HAS BEEN SHIFTED IN THE INDIAN FAVOUR.
TODAY CHINA IS THE COUNTRY WHICH IS READY TO DEFEND AND NURTURE PAKISTAN ON ALL GROUNDS . SECONDLY TIES BTW MOSCOW AND ISLAMABAD ARE ALSO IMPROOVING .
US AS ALWAYS HAS LEFT PAKISTAN ALONE AFTER ITS INTERST ACOMPLISHED JUST LIKE IT DID AFTER THE SOVIET AFGHAN WAR. WHEN SOVIET UNION WITHDREW ITS FORCES FROM AFGHANISTAN.
MOST LIKELY WE WILL SEE THE RUSSIANS GETTING INVOLVED DIRECTLY IN THIS REAGION
I SEE THE WHOLE SCENARIO LIKE THIS
INDIA IS A BIG MARKET AS COMPARED TO PAKISTAN FOR BOTH US AND RUSSIAN MILLETERY HARDWARE.
I GUESS US WANTS TO PUT RUSSIA OUT OF BUISNESS IN INDIA AT THE SAME TIME PROVIDE PAKISTAN WITH SOME FOOD AND MILLETERY AID FOR ITS AFGHAN SCENARIO. BUT THAT MILLETERY AID SHOULD NOT DISSAPOINT INDIA.
ONCE INDIA WILL HAVE ATAINED UPPER HAND OVER PAKISTAN.
AND WHEN TIME IS RIGHT US ENFORCE EMBARGOS ON PAKISTAN .

BUT THE CHINESE & RUSSIANS ARE TRYING HARD TO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN.
