The forgotten utopia: The Indus people may have lived for 700 years without war, weapons/inequality

.
:omghaha:

You got the wrong conclusion . Stay away from western culture , religion , ideology , phenomena etc , if you want to regain utopia  Is the correct conclusion

:victory1:

Many of my relatives are Bhat :D They are Aryans for sure but not invaders :P Settlers , May be :)
Settlers like the whites in Murica maybe :D

A disease or war eliminated this civilization

. . .
They were so spread out from Balochistan to Gujrat it had to be something really big its hard to buy tge drought or flood theory

Big centers were the most troubled in my opinion . Smaller centers may have been able to sustain themselves .

People may have moved to big centers which might have created the pressure on the existing structure .

We also don't know what happened to the people ? Did they die ? Did they migrated to Iran and mainland India ?

Did the Aryans enslaved them, did they got eaten by giant crocodiles that came out of water because of massive flooding who knows :D

If there are no weapons , then Aryan invasion is a myth . There is no archaeological evidence of Aryans . Only evidence we have is the Rig Veda that talk about the Bharata tribe and few others who were Aryans .

But we forget Iranians were not far away from Indus . We must remember that Iranian Aryans and Vedic Aryans had similar beliefs before Iranians turned into first monotheist and Vedic Aryans developed large volumes of text .

. .
What is surprising is that Indus was free from all this but all other old civilizations like Egypt , Mesopotamia and China were constantly under war and Turmoil .
Communities that mainly engaged in trade weren't interested in warfare unless the trade routes are under threat.
Even ancient Egypt mainly used their military for defence and protection of trade routes and invasions were relatively low. Most of their weapons were also adopted from cultures that attempted to invade Egypt.
The lack of threats would mean less need for war but that doesn't mean enemies don't come. It's better to be armed even in peace time or be.sorry when expansionist invaders or war minded migrants come

I am glad to know my ancestors lived such peaceful lives, I hope we can return to those peaceful and industrious times such as those so that the sons and daughters of the Indus Valley Civilisation can once again live in peace.

Good to know that you consider yourself a son of ancient Indian civilization also known as IVC, otherwise many Pakistanis (and almost all Bangladeshis) here find their roots somewhere in the middle-east. And yes, there will be no more war, no bloodshed, no mujahidin, jihad, and Lashkars & Jamat if Pakistan reverse back to the ideologies and philosophies of IVC.

.
Indian civilization

Son of the mighty river Indus aye, not the modern day state of India. Only Pakistanis and North west Indians can claim any of this civilisation, not any Harish, Dick and Harry from Chennai or Manipur.
