Redirect Notice Battle of Saraighat was fought in 1671 between the Mughal empire (led by the Kachwaha king, Raja Ramsingh I ), and the Ahom Kingdom (led by Lachit Borphukan ) on the Brahmaputra river at Saraighat , now in Guwahati .
