We are going to decommission our Mig series anyway .So just upgrade that and should give it to the ANA and also those MI 35 after the induction of LCH.Mig21 Bison is so familiar to Afghanis and would be enough to bomb Taliban.
But no boots.We dont have that kind of resource.

Last time soviets gave them Mig21's , their pilots defected to pakistan along with some migs as civil war raged in the country, all they need is some professional training rather than new weapons

Actually pakistanis honor the invaders by naming their missiles who came from far off places like central asia,arab enslaved their ancestors and most importantly took their identity.You can't find even a road named after their ancestors like Dahir and Porus who were the true sons of soil and resisted invaders.

Agree with you Nair. The principle should be that Indian arms should not cause harm to any Afghan. However if things get too dangerous, then all bets are off. Meanwhile Afghanistan should be encouraged to not capitulate to the Afghan Taliban at any cost. A common Afghan army soldier will feel confused when he sees his government negotiating with the Taliban. As Amrullah Saleh puts it, the soldier's thoughts would be: Why am I fighting these people with my life, if they are going to enter Presidential palace tomorrow.
