The Covert War in Pakistan

Pakistan is fighting a protracted war for over a decade now for its lost identity. The very symbols of Pakistan have been attacked and its people slaughtered. The craven attack on Ziarat Residency in Quetta on June 14, 2013, is one of many incidents that are evidence of Pakistan fighting a protracted war for its ideals and survival. BLA, a banned organization in Pakistan with separatist tendencies, chose to attack an otherwise old building with little worth had the father of the nation, Quaid-i-Azam, not spend his last days in it. The Ziarat residency after Quaid's stay was a symbol of his ideals for the generations to come. BLA along with other terrorist organizations are in a grave misunderstanding that by erasing the symbols it would be able to shatter the ideals of Quaid. Pakistan's high resolves to rebuild the Ziarat residency shows that buildings can be demolished but the hearts cannot be emptied of the respect and honour for Quaid-i-Azam.

Earlier in August 2012 militants attacked the Kamra Airbase, the base is known as home to the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex that assembles Mirage and, with Chinese support, JF-17 fighter jets. The terrorists targeted Pakistan Airforce assets. In May 2011, terrorists attacked PNS Mehran Base. Primarily, the attack was executed to damage the operational capabilities of Pakistan Navy. Several warplanes and premiere anti-submarine and marine surveillance aircrafts especially the US-made P-3C Orions were destroyed. It was the biggest attack on Pakistan Navy since the 1971 war with India.
These are only 3 of the 400 different terrorists incidents that have taken place throughout Pakistan. Time and again the people of Pakistan have been tested and its security apparatus challenged but there seems to be little or no response as a united nation. The perpetrators behind these heinous activities are bent to destroy Pakistan through a policy of thousand cuts and isolate Pakistan around the world.

The debate in Pakistan who is responsible for these heinous activities has been ongoing for the past decade. By now it is pretty much clear that though the activities are carried out by local people, there funding and training is done by foreign elements in most of the cases. The leading financier and training source of terrorists is India. India has been pulling the terrorists string by funding and arming them to subdue Pakistan.

The evidence of Indian covert activities in Pakistan was correctly highlighted by US Secretary of defense, Chuck Hagel in 2011 when he said in speech that, "India for some time has always used Afghanistan as a second front, and India has over the years financed problems for Pakistan on that side of the border". And now more appropriately the former Indian Army Chief General VK Singh has confessed that Indian military intelligence was involved in sensitive covert operations in Pakistan. Sources reveal that the Technical Services Division (TSD) of the Indian Army carried out Operation Deep Strike (Pakistan).

Pakistan has been very rightly pointing out the covert activities carried out by India in Pakistan's province of Baluchistan and the restive tribal areas where the Pakistani Army has been trying to uproot terrorists and extremists. Though the problem of Indian involvement is of great concern to Pakistan, the government has been docile in this regard. The apparent reasons of not holding India responsible for these terrorist activities is that Pakistan is a true aspirant of peace in the region and it does not want to make Pakistan-India ties strained. India on the other hand has been emboldened by the meek Pakistani response.
It is very clear that foreign involvement is keeping the furnace of terrorism burning in Pakistan but it is the responsibility of the people of Pakistan to give a united and unanimous response to all such heinous activities. It would be naive to think that without having good relations with India, Pakistan cannot restore peace in the country. The most important thing to be done is to track and completely destroy the terrorists and their networks and duly highlight the foreign involvement in such activities. India on the other hand must focus on its internal matters and must stop all covert activities in Pakistan because this menace of terrorism can at any time merge with unrest in Indian held Kashmir and create havoc for India.

Indians are getting benifit indirectly due to Pakistan's war on terror, which is due to reduction of pressure on Pakistan-India border.

-Afghanistan,which is the centre of proxy wars in Asian region is acting as portal of influence of anti-Pak elements.

I am so not surprised to read of 'Operation deep strike' as Indian influence is already obvious nor I will blame Indians and accuse them for current crisis,as their planners/strategy makers will always try to take benifit of such situation.
However,I will blame my own civil regime, political hegemoney players and the lapses which are resulted due to their abrupt behaviour.
It is now time for Pakistani civil regime and central command of armed forces to unite at a single platform and to make final decision for once and for all, that is ie either they want to have peace settlement or are willing to wage full fledge war against these organizations or are willing to take both steps at a time, thus tackling 60+ organizations with respect to their objectives or attitude.
Practically speaking,Pakistan will be in clear position as soon as US/NATO will depart from Afghanistan.

^^ I'm always amused a t people... who keep blaming army, despite their heroics and sacrifice and efforts in all the difficult times.
All research institutes and universities of Pakistan are put to trash by the biased TT's, in one sweep.
India is involved in terrorism inside Pakistan even before US invasion of Afghanistan.
When Afghanistan was not gifted to drug lords of Northern Alliance, India used Iran to promote terrorism in Pakistan.
Brahamdagh Bugti has been travelling in and out of US controlled Afghanistan, on Indian passport.
There is plenty of confessions on youtube, but no cure for the denial..... rest assure, Pakistan army has bit more evidence, which they have used to co-ope with Asif Ali Zardari.... in Kiyani's extra cool style, let's hope next CoAS do not let the politicians profit, in exchange for sitting on evidence.

When single person says anything that throws India in bad light, it becomes the truth.. All anyone has to do is say, India did it. On the other hand when the same people say it about Pakistan, it is conspiracy against Pakistan. These conspiracy and their consumers are only in Pakistan. Even if true, nobody believes them or care about them. Apart from giving some time for Pakistani to bash India, this means nothing. Piece of trash.

Mate,as I have stated earlier that strategy makers of opponent forces will keep on planning against us,the question is that:

'How long we will keep on beating up same old lines?'

This fact is undeniable that regional hegemoney players have clear objective:'To malign us completely by sabotaging our economical infrastructure and stablity and to disarm us'

In order to achieve their goal, they will stoop to any level.
At this point,I ask you of lapses within our infrastructure due to which they are getting access and successful chances to damage us?
The answer is simple:
'Our policies are improper and we do not have strong leadership'

So,instead of beating up same old lines,we must recover the weak spots within our infrastructure, our opponents will not stop planning, instead we have to assign proper plannings,in order to counter response them and halt the damage giving by them to us.

Tale of a village idiot

A person is jealous/envy/hate his neighbor. He tries to harm him, but gets beaten black and blue and loses half body parts as his neighbor is stronger than him. After seeing some example in a nearby village, a brilliant idea strikes. He decides to rear dogs. Savage, brutal, blood thirsty dogs. He stealthily lets these on the neighbor. Whenever dog bites the neighbor, he enjoys. Whenever neighbor kills the dog, he rears even more. His hope is that one day neighbor will die due to multiple dog bites or rabies. But these days dogs are biting him. He doesn't know why. He thinks that neighbor is giving biscuits to his dogs to bite him. The pain of dog bite and subsequent injections from the doctor are pain. He is now sure that the dogs he could not control are being controlled by his neighbor, through telepathic means or some vodoo magic. Damn the evil neighbor....

Blaming India will not do any good, its a great power game which has Pak in its claws.

Pakistan signed its own death warrant the day it went for nuclear testing.

The Western Powers and Israel wont allow a nuclear powered Pak to exist. The whole Afghan game is geared towards Pak's dismemberment. And the US is very angry with Pak for its role in terrorism.

India, of course, is happy with the way the wheel is turning. But we do not need to get involved.

India blame pakistan and pakistan blame india ...lets assume both are true then I think INDIAN army is far batter thenakistan army because the attecks on indian soil are much less compare to 90's and in pakistan its happen regularly I think pak army should learn from india ;)

even if the article is true who started the proxy war??and its funny if u dnt expect the retaliation.even today many distinguish good terrorist and bad terrorist.and until this ideology is changed its always the innocent who suffer..on both sides.

What Pakistan is suffering from is a Self Inflicted injury which it is making worse by not applying the correctives.

Why worry about a covert war when there is an overt one happening - The Drones.

This is not hidden that India, US, Israel & etc are financing rented terrorists against Pakistan & to make things even more worse in Pakistan we have incompetent, corrupt & spineless politicians who have NO love for Pakistan. First PPP lead by Zardari were a national threat & now it is PML-N lead by patwari are a nationl threat.

Hasn't Pakistan's Establishment been doing the same for the past three decades by infiltrating terrorists like the LeT and JeM into India? Remember the attack on India's Parliament and the Mumbai pogrom where 164 were slaughtered by state sponsored terrorists of the LeT led by that yahoo Hafiz Saeed?

Two can play the game, right? 'Bleeding India with a thousand cuts', a doctrine put in place by Zia is still alive and kicking, though what these mercenaries who are sent across are doing in Kashmir are no more than minor pin pricks.

So friend, please don't put all the blame on India. You guys ain't lily white either!

What is the point of initiation. It was in 1971 RAW actions forced ISI to develop into a full fledged operating agency.
