I once listened to the pilot of the bomber that was involved in the attack and he said he would do it all over again. I remember few years back saw one of their TV serials in which they showed nuclear attacks on Pakistan by the US. The US genocide in Japan, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan should put Hilter to shame, yet they consider themselves to be so called preservers of peace and freedom. The hypocrisy is really outstanding.

Because unlike the Germans the Japanese were not ready to surrender.OF COURSE it was racist. Funny how the americans did that to the Japanese but not the Germans. I wonder why?........... ...........call it what you want, but the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a racial, genocidal war crime. As were the american war crimes against the Iraqis, Afghans etc.

...they literally had to take it island by island...which would normally favor the defenders who can be well dug in on strategically favorable areas. The attacking side would suffer lots of casualties even in the best of circumstances.
Although...I agree that nukes shouldn't have been used(for different reasons) but based on what the Japanese did...I would say they kinda had it coming. If u do inhumane things...and then u are paid in the same coin...don't expect ppl to feel sorry for u.
Does it matter at this point? The Japanese idolize America(n pop culture). Though, thinking about it now, the same could be said for the Bollywood lovers in Pakistan.

I agree with your statement once. Germans surrender in May 1945 and obviously too late to eat the atomic bomb.Interesting how the atomic bombs being dropped on Japan is considered racist as if this racism was a one-sided affair. Ask the people who suffered from Japanese occupation how the Japanese treated them. I assure you it was not happy times.
Racism aside, the decision to drop the atomic bomb on Japan was not taken lightly. Considering how brutally the Japanese fought the US at every turn, and it got more brutal as the fighting approached Japan’s home islands, it was better of two evils. It probably saved more lives than a bloody conventional battle would have.
Because the atomic bomb was not available before Germany's surrender. I hope you know the first atomic bomb test, the Trinity test, was conducted in mid July 1945, a full month and a half after Germany's capitulation. Please do some basic research before saying this is a racist war crime. The US warned Japan on three different occasions about this and each time they were dismissed.OF COURSE it was racist. Funny how the americans did that to the Japanese but not the Germans. I wonder why?........... ...........call it what you want, but the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a racial, genocidal war crime. As were the american war crimes against the Iraqis, Afghans etc.
Please look up when the first atomic bomb test occurred. Unless the US could time travel back, there is simply no way the atomic bomb could have been used against Germany. Even Oppenheimer, the creator of the bomb, noted the primary target had been Germany.True. But then why weren't the Germans nuked too? If the Japanese were White Europeans, they would have been spared.
