The Best 1300cc Cars In Pakistan In Terms Of Maintenance And Resale Value

.
Hi, planning to move back to Pakistan shortly. I'm looking to buy a 1300cc sedan for starters. Need some serious suggestions on which brands/ models to keep an eye on.

Flood in your suggestions folks.

Dearly appreciate your input.

1300 cc, wont be under powered for a sedan? What are options in range of 1500-1600 cc?

Guys, what are general segments in Pakistan in terms of cc?

In India we have hatchbacks in 1000-1200 cc, sedan 1500-1600 cc and SUV in excess of 2000 cc.

Any reasons? Budget is not finalized yet, hence the call for your valuable input :)
Sir baleno is now too old to go for it, it will definitely need some parts replaced or some other maintenance.
Ill suggest you to go for Honda city 2008 shape(2013 onward preferable) or GLI 2011/2012, both have good resale, cheap parts/easily available and have a avg of 11/12 km/litter. Just keep one imp thing in mind before buying a snd hand car that it isn't driven more than 100k and not got accidented from the front.
If you're going for a new car then CITY would not be a smart choice, as it's new shape is coming next year.

Baleno is a white elephant.

Budget is important if you want a precise and useful suggestion. Although there're only a couple of brands to pick from, your budget determines the model which is quite important.

Hmm, Dont want to spend more than 600,000 on the car this early, so anything around 6 or under will do for me.

Ohh sir that car is love of my life,
I have kept 3 models of it 93,96 and 2001 (wooden interior). One of the best sedan Toyota ever made.
According to your budget this car should be right under it.
How about Indus corolla?

I would suggest a Suzuki Cultus (1000cc) considering your range, and even then you'll end up with the 3 cylinder carburettor engine model; not the 4 cylinder EFI. Rs.600,000 will at least enable you to buy a somewhat clean, decent and well maintained version. If you have ever driven anything remotely made of quality, you will not be happy with any Suzuki car in Pakistan.

I would highly advise NOT to spend a Rs.600,000 on a second hand Honda City or a Toyota Corolla, the reason being that because of your existing budget, chances are you'll be getting pure junk.

Fact of the matter is Rs.600,000 is only sufficient for either Mehran or Cultus, for a decent and hassle-free 1.3L sedan you'll at least need Rs 9 to 13 Lakhs.

I absolutely adore that car as well. However...in reality, there's no way Rs.600,000 will get you a mint condition Indus. Even a mint condition Indus is extremely old and not easy on the pocket. It's also quite heavy in terms of fuel.

Liana anyone? I find the specs decent but read some horrendous reviews!

In 600000 you can get XE Corolla in 1.3, models from 1994 to 2000. They are durable vehicles. Fuel consumption is, of course a bit higher than today's models
2nd option in 600000 or a bit above is Suzuki Cultus 1.0 EFi with 4 cylinder engine (don't go for 3 cylinder crabi 2007 and older). If you can find a clean one, it has decent pick and fuel economy.
These cars you can resell easily whenever you want.

In my opinion never go for liana or Baleno. They don't have resale value and their parts are hard to find, unless you live in 3 4 big cities. Their fuel consumption is same as XE.

Avg price for indus is around 700k depends on year made, edition, millage and condition. But you can get a OK car in 600k too.

You'll find the two extremes when it comes to Liana, either people really hate this car or they really like this car.

I really quite like Liana to be frank and I have had personal experience with it. A good Liana might cost you about 700K.
