Today we will take a closer look at the battle of the Halfaya pass which was fought on the 15th to 17th of June 1941. It was a hard-fought battle which also saw the downfall of the Matilda Mk II tank.

No wonder, german 88 mm tank guns on Tiger and King Tiger took a heavy toll of allies on both eatern and westeren fronts...untill matched by up gunned T 34s and IS series tanks
