At a news conference, Chiang Rai Governor Narongsak Osotthanakorn confirmed that four boys have been brought out and have safely arrived at a hospital in Chiang Rai.

The first boy exited the cave at 5:40 p.m. local time, the operation chief told reporters, adding that rescue workers need "about 10 to 20 hours" to prepare for the next stage of this historic mission.

“We’ve used all the oxygen,” he said.

A total of 90 divers including 40 Thais and 50 internationals are involved in Sunday's operation.

The number of trapped soccer team members rescued has reached six, according to Reuters citing a senior member of the rescue team as the historic rescue mission progresses into nightfall.

"I have received information that six have exited the cave," a senior member of the rescue team told Reuters.

A press conference is expected.

At least two members of a Thai schoolboy soccer team have been rescued from a flooded cave on Sunday evening, according to Reuters citing a local official.

"Two kids are out. They are currently at the field hospital near the cave," Tossathep Boonthong, chief of Chiang Rai' health department and part of the rescue team was quoted saying according to Reuters.

"We are giving them a physical examination. They haven't been moved to Chiang Rai hospital yet," Tossathep added.

Some media says that three kids are out, but no official announcement has been made yet on the number.

The rescue operation started at 9:00 am (0200GMT) on Sunday morning, with 13 foreign divers and five Navy SEALs sent into the cave for the rescue operation.

Narongsak Osottanakorn, head of the rescue mission, said earlier in the day that "Today we're at the peak of readiness."

The 12 boys and their coach have been trapped for more than two weeks since June 23.

Great job Thai Navy Seals! Great international collaboration.

Thirteen foreign cave diving experts have entered the cave to join the rescue operation since 10:00 local time on Sunday. The boys were dived out from the cave one by one, escorted by two divers at one time.

International rescue teams from the U.S., China, Australia and Europe are stationed along tunnel walls from the entrance of the cave to chamber 3, a safe command center inside the cave, to support the extraction.

The 12 boys, aged between 11 and 16, and their coach, 25, went missing in Tham Luang Nang Non cave in northern Thailand's Chiang Rai Province on June 23. They were located on a small cliff about four km away from the cave entrance when the search entered the ninth day on July 2.

If you ask the US regime media, that's all thanks to US navy seals and the "rescue submarine" tesla handily developed over the past two days (below image):
People,

Do not take this comment seriously. No one in the US media said such thing. So far, the US media have reported only Elon Musk offered to help with his contraption. This comment is only a reflection of a deranged mind so obsessed with US that he must inject politics into something so innocent.

I tried not to hate any kind of people. And I know quite a lot of kinky people (I know folks that would do advertisement in their own wedding)

But people who pushes their own political agenda during a disaster is the scum of the earth, these people should be chop up and fed to dog.

How about people who are creating a disaster in order to push their own agenda?

Such as Trump.

US propaganda bullhorns are just pushing Elon Musk’s corporate agenda (PR) during a disaster. They are not really interested in helping Thailand.

It reminds me of 2008 when US propaganda bullhorns and US “celebrity” Sharon Stone used deadly earthquake in China to push US political agenda. Sharon Stone sad that deadly earthquake in China was “karma”.

Many pro-Western media organizations in Thailand, supported by the US, UK and EU government and opposed to the current Thai government, have used the incident to attack and undermine the Thai government at every opportunity.

Anti-government Khaosod even resorted to blatantly false headlines to smear the government and the Thai police by claiming the coach was already facing charges. In the body of the article under the "clickbait" headline, "Coach Faces Charges For Leading Boys into Cave," police were directly quoted as having not even considered the possibility of charges - since all attention was focused on rescuing the students.

Others, like Hathai Techakitteranun, a Thai writer for German-based Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA) has taken every opportunity to portray the Thai government as bumbling and incompetent, using the desperate rescue efforts to advance her and her foreign sponsors' political agenda at the cost of national unity in the face of coordinated rescue efforts.

And Khaosod writer Pravit Rojanaphruk, recipient of multiple US-UK awards and fellowships, and a prominent supporter of US-backed political agitators in Bangkok, attempted to hook up US-backed regime change to the rescue efforts, claiming (translated from Thai) that while it was difficult to find the students in the cave, finding "democracy" for Thailand would be even harder.

Thai-based French "political cartoonist" Stephane "Stephff" Peray would parrot Pravit R.'s sentiments in search of clicks and attention to his otherwise ignored and often obscure "work."

Attempts to undermine the Thai government amid a difficult rescue effort coordinating local government and private contributions as well as those from around the globe is unthinkably reprehensible.

Placing pressure on the government to produce results, only serves to impair the judgement of those leading rescue efforts, and placing in danger the lives of not only the students, but of the many volunteers working day and night to bring them out of the cave safely.

It is difficult to understand what takes place in the mind of individuals who would seek to leverage tragedy to advance their own personal agenda. Not only do they serve as a disturbing and negative contrast to the very best exhibited by those who came from across Thailand and from abroad to help, but they are also compromising the rescue efforts directly.

8th boy of football team trapped in Thai cave rescued: witness

Xinhua Published: 2018-07-09 21:29:53

The eighth boy emerged Monday evening from a flooded cave where 12 boys and their soccer coach were trapped for more than two weeks, a witness told Xinhua.

The witness near the cave in northern Thailand's Chiang Rai said two ambulances leave the cave site.

Roaring helicopters are seen overhead in the media center near the cave.

The rescue operation for the football team resumed at about 11:00 a.m. local time on Monday after a break to replenish oxygen supplies and make other preparations deep inside the cave complex.

Four boys were extracted from the cave on Sunday night.

Thirteen foreign divers and five members of Thailand's elite navy SEAL unit on Sunday made up the main team diving the boys to safety through narrow, submerged passageways that claimed the life of a former Thai navy diver on Friday.

The 12 boys, aged between 11 and 16, and their coach have been trapped in the cave since June 23. They were found when the search, joined by more than 1,000 rescuers, entered the ninth day.

Reports said FIFA President Gianni Infantino had invited the trapped Thai boys' football team to the World Cup final, as messages of support poured in from top players

How about people who are creating a disaster in order to push their own agenda?

Such as Trump.

To begin with, I never like trump.

And I don't think he can do anything to create any sort of disaster, yes, he is the POTUS, but his way to make Mayhem is limited by the congress and senate.

I reckon he created more disaster when he is the head of Trump Organisation then when he is the POTUS.

Critical to the Thai regime happened WITH OR WITHOUT the disaster.

If Thai government is indeed incompetent, they deserved criticism.

Looks like someone with a self proclaim High IQ does not understand what is constructive criticism and what is using it to forward political agenda.

All boys out. Great job Thai Navy SEALs and professional divers along with international team.

Thai Navy Seal confirmed on Facebook that rescuers have brought out all 12 boys and their soccer coach from the flooded cave, but four divers are still inside.

"We are not sure if this is a miracle, a science, or what. All the thirteen Wild Boars are now out of the cave," the post read.

Boy submarine still nowhere to be seen. I guess investors were duped one more time.

In 2023, hopefully.
