We bangladeshi buddhists are very close to Myanmar, both religiously and culturally. We used to practice Mahayana Buddhism before the Sangha raja of Burma converted us into Theravada Buddhists. Myanmar also donates to various Buddhist pagodas in Bangladesh.

There are many temples in Chittagong area mostly in Cox's Bazaar and Chittagong Hill Tracts which were built by Arakanese and Burmese Buddhist.
