China will not involve itself in Bangladesh unless it has a strategic stake. Bangladeshi ppl know their leader and govt. is a proxy of india, it can't do anything apart from statements. Bangladesh armed forces is not even a one-third equipped compared to India. China will not support a dead horse like Bangladesh. Although I'm Pakistani, The more I think about Brahmaputra the more my head aches, China and India both are in a race to dam the river. India has multiple sources as well as dams to store water. Bangladesh has not build a single reservoir since its creation. Bangladesh was built on that Benglai will protect interests of Bengali,today Bengalis are robbing Bengalis, one is calling the other kafir, the other is calling the religious, rajakaar. Sheikh Hasina is using both sides and undermining Bangladesh.
She has been bending backwards for india without getting anything in return.
She replaced the East Pakistan law that supported Bengali muslim interests by a Hindu property restoration Act in 2011 just to appease the indian hindu community.
Assam is barricading its border, India is not a trustworthy state but Bangladeshi ppl have weasels at the top.

You need a leader like Maulana Bhashani or even someone who can UNITE you on national lines not use wedge issues to divide you and prolong their rule.

Well, our current generation of politicians are fakarz. We know that. But, our nextgen politicians are pure Bangladeshi dalal. That's why politically neutral peoples like me don't warry much...

If you stand at the border between India and Bangladesh in Meghalaya, you'll see a lot of water from everywhere.

The problem in BD isn't lack of water but proper utilisation of water. Bengal CM Momta is not interested in sorting this matter out while PM Modi is pretty okay with it as long as it doesn't adversely affect either state. One reason is north Bengal is susceptible to water shortages and our Bengal's water distribution infrastructure is pathetic due to corruption.

Otherwise, it is almost every year that Bangladesh actually gets a lot of floods due to Brahmaputra.

Not true for Tista. Because of the Dam The entire part of Tista inside Bangladesh dried up. You can run a motorcycle there. You don't need to be a Banglabeshi to feel for a river. Killing any river in any part of the world should warrant emotion in people who values humanity and the earth.

Meanwhile India has ensured around 90% water of the Teesta upstream diversion into drier areas of India.. The political game that Modi-Mamta-SHW plays is to keep this issue alive till the election time, 2019. Then they will "solve" this issue with much fan fare. Result will be BD receiving around 500 cu secs of water in place of 1,400 cu secs authorized. All parties will celebrate victory to fetch votes.
