Taurus unveiled 18 different models of their new 5.56 caliber platforms this week, all made entirely in the U.S.

The T4AS series, introduced at the 146th National Rifle Association Annual Meetings and Exhibits at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, all share a forged aluminum lower with a Magpul trigger guard, CTR buttstock, and MOE grip mated to a T-marked A3 upper.

The bull’s head logo is prominent across all models

Using a carbine-length direct gas impingement system with a low profile gas block, Taurus advises they exceed MIL–DTL–71186A military standards and use a Melonite bolt carrier, key, and assembly that is Magnetic Particle Inspected. Barrels are 1:7 twist Chrome Moly Vanadium M4 profile and vary between 11.5 and 16-inches.

Speaking of variations, handguard options include either KeyMod or M-LOK, each with a 1913 top Pic rail and finishes are available in the always popular matte black or cerekoted in sand or jungle.

Taurus advertises that the T4AS series has a 10,000 round barrel life and a similar mean rounds between stoppages figure, largely chalked up to the Melonite treating given every critical component. During the development process, Taurus pumped over 300,000 rounds through T&E models.

One factory example on hand at the booth in Atlanta had exceeded 7,500 rounds of Magtech M193/M855 fired with no cleaning or lubrication.

The rifles ship in a cardboard box and include a Magpul PMAG M2. MSRP is $1199.
