Is any of these system operational ??? I really don't know the current status.

I believe these were old systems of Soviet era left behind by Socialist regime of Afghanistan, as US or ISAF never provided MLRS to ANA.

Therefore even if we accept that MLRS are in working condition with live rockets then the question arise

how the Taliban operating it ???

MLRS is not a simple AK-47 which any militant could use .... ??? its use require proper training

The shit I've seen on interweb done by cartels are much worse than ISIS promo videos.

But Cartels also like to skin people alive and stuff. There was this one famous video on Reddit where the cartel guy would skin a dad and make the son watch him grope the dad's heart while its beating. Then he grabs the heart out and stabs it on his exposed ribs.

Mexican cartels run primarily on the fear of executing/multilating their enemies and their families. Taliban are not scared of dying, have dealt with this threat from the USA, and know the terrain of Afghanistan better. Cartels also kidnap regular civilians, not armed trained militants who are experts on this type of warfare.

As far as I know eve ANA was not In possession of MLRS, so capturing it from Regime forces is out of question.

Hmm that's surprising bcuz MLRS is so common...I just assumed that ANA would have it either Russian leftover from the time when USSR was just handing them military gear or the Russian stuff the Mujahideen managed to get a hold off after USSR's retreat.

In any case...I don't think any country would officially sell MLRS to the Afghan Taliban...so they must've gotten a hold of it...as "loot" from some retreating army. Could be acquired from nearby regions that are also a mess...like Syria for example.

I think the issue isn't whether the Taliban are good or not. Even if one says they are evil, they are, as far as Pakistanis are concerned, lesser of the two evil.

The Pakistanis that are happy at the prospect of the Taliban takeover are happy because the Taliban are replacing a declared Indian ally and an open enemy of Pakistan.

The option is ANA and the Taliban. That's it. Between these the Taliban seem like a much better alternative to ANA as far as Pakistan is concerned.

As for the Taliban and Afghanistan, if the Taliban didn't have widespread support in Afghanistan, they wouldn't have survived the NATO occupation for two decades. The speed of their conquest also suggests sone level of support in the country.
