MOD sources confirm that Talis lost over 250 of their men in Musa Qala which was swiftly recaptured by the ANSF. ( Some reports indicate that talis were basically lured into the district ) and then taken out.

Imagine if the Talis lose 250 just to keep a remote, insignificant ( don’t bother what some talib apologist tell you) for a day I wonder what was their strategist smoking :P

Burn in hell rats for traitors who are undermine an elected government wont find a place in paradise.

I don't think so ANA has million men so it can lure Mullahs and loose hundred of them to them just to kill 250 but any how if even Musa Qila has been retaken then still Talis have got what they want i.e fame in front of Afghans and that they are still capable to take a District.
“The Taliban’s aim is not to keep the districts. They are just attacking for propaganda purposes,” said a defense ministry spokesman, Dawlat Waziri, at a press conference.

Well if they want to lose 250 men to keep a remote district then let them have fame for a day. But if I were a taliban leader I would be very worried this year as the ANSF has proven its worth not only to the Afghan people but also the international community which will keep funding the force until the afghan economy can sustain it. The Taliban have not made any major strategic gains this year even with majority of the international forces gone, life continues in major cities as normal, students go to schools, international airlines fly in so I see the glass half full my friend ;)

Taliban and those are banking on them are in for a very rude awakening.

I highly doubt 250 Taliban men died (the official was quoted saying 220 men killed or wounded the later being same as killed) and only 33 of Afghan security forces were killed.

The Taliban are better known for guerilla tactics, expect them to launch some roadside and suicide bombs in the area. The British lost more than 400 men in that area, so it does have some importance to the Taliban.

Good job you afghans brothers :)

Once you prove your capacity to defend yourself we will also would share our weapons with you . Our only concern was our wepons ending up witj talibans which will be counter productive for your ongoing national strengthening process
