Taliban Face Defeat At The Hands of Pakistani Military in Swat

It has been six weeks since the Swat operation was launched by Pakistan army. So far military has claimed most of the areas that had fallen to the Taliban. The district has been reclaimed and the army is pursuing Taliban in far-flung forests and mountains. During the intense campaign, more than 1,200 militants were killed while the military lost around 90 personnel.
