The ROC navy operates the Kidd class DDG, Oliver Hazard Perry FFG and La Fayette class in far greater numbers than VN(which has no DDGs)

This is just a sad situation. The pride of their defense systems are obsolete systems that countries like Taiwan would had retired back in the 80s and 90s. But because that is the best they have, that is the only thing for them to boast about. But they are just showing others how backward they are. The Vietnamese guys in here think that they can shutdown oil shipments to Guam. They think that US 7th fleet would be too scared of Vietnam to enter the South China sea because of Vietnamese missiles. If they can be delusional to this point, they can say anything.
