but they said its Friend and Foe sensor was not working? or it was jammed too?

An easy thing to understand. Indian claims that IFF was off by the Heli but they didn't tell anyone that either IAF didn't make a Radio Call to the Heli or they did but unfortunate Heli wasn't able to hear. If such transponder is off, I don't think that the warning side wouldn't make radio calls to identify. Same happened when SpiceJet civilian A/C was flying above Pakistan Airspace with a forged military call-sign and Pakistan Control Tower made a call to identify and then intercepted by Falcons to verify.

Doesn't matter if sensor wasn't working or off but actually they were not able to tell or listen at all.
