MINGORA: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has set up three libraries and a recreation park it established for the students of three government schools in Kanju area in Kabal tehsil of Swat district.
The facility to the schools was extended with support from Psycho Social Support Programme of the PRCS. The libraries were provided books and other accessories and also sports equipment by the organisation.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, PRCS Provincial Chairman Dr Sher Muhammad and Psycho Social Support Programme in-charge Amjad Hilal said the organisation was working relentlessly to assist the affected residents of Swat.
They said the PCRS had spent huge funds to provide relief to the Swat people. They said one acre of land had been procured by the organisation to establish a training centre for the children.
The PCRS officials said that Swat was the only place all over Asia where their organisation had established libraries and recreational park for students. They said more facilities were in the pipeline for seven other schools in Kanju.
