Sulaiman al-Tajir, the Persian merchant who traveled to both India & China sometime in the year 850 CE made some interesting observations on both countries. He starts by saying India is twice the size of China, but not as densely populated.

Can you clarify what region he means by "India"? Clearly it's translated to 'India' and I think maybe original text had something like Sindh or Hind?
So which region would that be? Pakistan? Rajasthan? Uttar Pradesh?

.
Less population and more kings.

I think everyone wants that "India" back.

Where does this Persian think India ends and China begin or Persia ends and India or China begin?

The geographical region called India existed even one thousand year before Sulaiman al-Tajir travelled to India.

FYI, Megasthenes who was the Greek ambassador in the court of Mauryan emperor Chandra Gupta Maurya wrote a book on his life and time during the stay in a book called 'Indica'.

Does that make India a perfect case to learn decay of a society while others progress?

Pakistan missed that bus in 1968 because that was the year when RAW was set up. Now Pakistan is clutching at straws.

Looks like a comparison of Indus valley to Tibet.

Is that why it takes 10 times the effort for RaW to secure India than '68?

I once smoked Indica. does that give me claim over the region where 2 rivers meet?

I asked a simple question. You should be able to answer it.

The classified info is that there were problems in getting started. Now we are comfortable.

Ironically its the same sentence every secessionist and rebel group uses when explaining their past, present and the future.

And that book 'Indica' has been lost and Megasthenes has been called liar by other writers.
By all confirm accounts 'Indica' is Greek name for river Indus, rest of world had relation with Indus Basin since birth of human history through Silk Route. When Brits captured that whole region they named it India(they were searching for it after reading old accounts about Indus Basin).
Due to ignorance of our founders, likes of Nehru were able to steal name of Pakistani/Gandhari river and name a state formed in Ganges basin after another river.

Whenever you see anywhere "ancient India" described by ancient historians, that means only today's Pakistan,it has nothing to do with modern India mostly.
We committed a huge blunder by running away from our roots,if you read ancient history region which makes Pakistan has always, been different from Bharat, look at their Temples and those found in Pakistan,on their side Kamasutra and what not while in Pakistan/Gandhara region nothing of that sort.
@Talwar e Pakistan @Indus Pakistan

When Christopher Columbus sailed out for 'India' in the year 1492, he missed the direction and reached the Americas.
Columbus called the inhabitants of the lands that he visited indios (Spanish for "Indians")

No one knows, there are many theories about that.Vedas have mentioned that and by many accounts it's either a dried river in today's Pakistan or Helmand River on top of that exact date of composition of Vedas is unknown, they seem to be ancient than people think.
