Beijing: In July this year an article was published in Chinese daily, titled 'Six wars to be fought by China in the next 50 years'. The article mentions six wars, including one with India, that need to be fought by China in order for it to achieve its dream of becoming the super power of the world.
The six wars- accession of Taiwan (2020-2025), re-conquest of the Spratly isles (2025-2030), re-conquest of South Tibet (2035-2040), re-conquest' of the Islands Diaoyu-[Senkaku isles] and Ryukyu (year 2040-2045), reunification of Outer Mongolia (year 2045-2050) and recovery of lands with Russia (year 2055-2060)- will be fought over a period of fifty years and propel China as the superpower of the world.
The article confidently quotes that China will be victorious and quotes the war with Taiwan will be the beginning of the "New China". The article further says that China will emerge as the new world power by 21st century. It envisages Russia and Japan on the decline; India and US as stagnant and Europe as on the rise consequent to the integration of Europe.
The third war- 'Re-conquest of Southern Tibet (Arunachal Pradesh) (year 2035-2040) would be fought between India and China over Tibet. The text of the article blames Indian media in flaring up passions between the two countries. It says that though Indian policies have been by large amicable towards US, Japan, Russia and Europe; while in the case of China, Indian media has played a repellent and hostile role. It says that by 2030 China would have annexed Taiwan and Spratly Island, thereby tremendously increasing its defence might. The win in these two wars will make China second most powerful nation, next only to US.
Consequently, India will lose the war, it said.
In order to win the third war, the article proposes disintegration of India. The article says that ceramic should do 'everything in its power' to boost a struggle for self-reliance in Indian state of Assam and Sikkim. In the second phase, China would up the supply of sophisticated modern military weapons to Pakistan. The aim is to help Pakistan 'conquer' South Kashmir by 2035. While, India and Pakistan are busy battling each other, China would undertake an aerial bombardment of South Tobet, occupied by India. India would be rendered incapable and will not be able to handle the two fronts and consequently lose both the wars, the article quoted. In case, the plan fails. The editor-in-chief is also a member of Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). The CPPCC is China's propaganda apparatus and is headed by one of the seven members of the ruling Politburo Standing Committee (PBSC).
