ISPR released a multi-episode documentary series (7 episodes) based on the Book: Struggle & Creation of Pakistan, by Dr. Riaz Ahmed. Each episode encompasses a crisp and authentic narration of the Pakistan Movement (1857 - 1947) to create awareness among our Youth about the History of Pakistan.


This episode of the documentary series includes the untold short stories of Pakistan Movement from 1857 to 1905.
Shaan Shahid takes us back to the very beginning of the story of Pakistan. The events that unfolded in the aftermath of the War of Independence 1857, in fact laid the foundation for the Pakistan Movement.
The narrated stories include:
  • Tragic end of the Mughal Empire.
  • Imprisonment of Bahadur Shah Zafar.
  • Brutalities of the British Raj.
  • Critical role played by Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan to save the Muslims from becoming pawns in a bigger political game.

Shaan Shahid takes us back to the start of the 20th century and the Story of Pakistan in that era.
The events that unfolded include, WW-I, Khilafat Movement and Establishment of All India Muslim League.

Shaan Shahid narrates the monumental period of the struggle of the Muslims of India. Muslims got fully convinced that gaining a separate homeland is the only option, if they had to secure their future.
The narrated stories include:
  • Passing of Historic Pakistan Resolution 1940 Jinnah’s declaration that Hindus and Muslims are two separate nations.
  • Jinnah-Gandhi talks and Gandhi’s efforts to entrap Quaid e Azam against the struggle for a separate homeland of Muslims.
  • Elections of 1946 and success of Muslim League.
 
1947: The people who migrated from India to Pakistan were received wholeheartedly, accepted with open arms. People shared their businesses, homes, everything with the migrated ones. In this image you can see that people are arranging shelter and food for the brothers and sisters who migrated.

The photograph was taken at Al-Manzar, the residence of Mian Bashir Ahmad (sitting next to the Quaid ), here the Lahore Resolution was passed. The house was located on Mian Mohammed Shafi road. Lahore.
