Stop ! No more rape threads.

After having taken a short break from PDF I notice there is proliferation of rape threads. I ask all members to avoid opening such threads and add your post here to place pressure on the Mods to place a blanket ban on such threads that carry nothing of import but are just despicable point scoring at the expense of some poor victim. Let us all unite in our common humanity and show our disgust at these acts.

I suggest only incidents that might carry something that has public interest be allowed but other than that a ban should be placed. So add your support in this thread please. A rape anywhere is a scar on humanity. So come on PDF post here to show your support. Thanks.

@WebMaster I strongly suggest you look at this. Such threads do PDF no service at all and at best are facetious. Is this the type of discussions good for a defence forum?

Rape threads are still more tolerable than those periodic "i am quitting the forum" or "leaving the forum for a longggggggg time" threads that crop up every month from the "same" person , only for us to have that specific person posting in full fervor right on second day of opening his farewell or temporary farewell thread.

I am expecting a similar farewell thread from the same person in a week or twos times- only to have him posting back again after two or three days.

If one has to get paid a dollar for each one of such farewell threads, i am sure kaptaan wud have been a millionaire by now.

India must be very diverse because my town is very safe for women.

Let me explain. Yes, it's true that rape and sexual harassment are widespread in India. Women are not safe. It is amply described in post#8. But it doesn't happen in my part of the country. Let women of other regions suffer because I cannot do anything about it. Moreover the cases that appear in media are fake stories fabricated for the purpose of paid news. And they are hilarous. How it happens in moving vehicles. How the kids are thrown out. The vivid description etc. Ha! Ha! Ha! It's a comedic gold.

With 7000 rapes reported in London alone, a city of 9 million people, last year, it should be surprising that India has only 40,000 rapes reported in a country with 1.3 billion people.

Even if we multiply India's numbers by 5, it will still be considerably less than London's numbers.

In 2017, 2,049 rape cases were reported as opposed to 2,064 in 2016.

Even if you multiply Delhi's number by 5, you will still get a considerably lower figure for every 1000 people compared to London.
