Yes that's another beauty with beast in the same club. MIG 31 is still operational and that's actually more modern and capable than SR -71.

Yes thats true because married men were less likely to defect because it's not easy to leave your wife and kids back home.The technology behind these engineering Marvels is still a highly guarded secret.

Yes this jet was way ahead of it's time.Its design still looks like of 2020 fighter jets. And it was designed in 1950,s.

I have visited the US Smithsonian Air and Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles Airport in Loudon, Virginia many times. They have an SR-71 Blackbird on the floor that you can walk around and see from a few feet away. If you are ever in Washington, DC, and have an afternoon of free time, a visit to the Udvar-Hazy Center is well worth it if you are interested in flight. The downtown DC Air and Space Museum is interesting also, but the Udvar-Hazy is hangar big and has many full size aircraft and a Space Shuttle as well.
