Spotted: India's Ratan Tata in Honda car

Yes, but they are British designed, engineered and built cars. India only writes the checks.

If tomorrow some Indian company bought Boeing, would anyone seriously claim that these were Indian products?

Guess what...the highlighted part is the most important of any damn business in world to survive. And India firm here is making loads & loads of money apart from owning one of the biggest brand out there. Don't know why many here envy tht.

I never said its not a British Concept but its owned by an Indian having full legal control of the company and the planning for the future.

What technicality r u teaching mate....which daddy owns it - 'Tata'. So whose company is it really...any guesses ?

its not about owning, TATA doesnt manufacture those cars, its technically jaguar, a british company with british technology where as TATA jjust holds the bigger share in the company

the OP is pointing out ratan tata not using cars of his own technology, and he doesnt trust his own piece of technology

I stopped with that :hitwall:

Reflects badly on TATA Motors, only thing that can save the situation is that Ratan Tata is now retired.

Don't they have any other news left to publish , the next news may be Big B watching Chunky Panday's movie .

Suddenly everyone has something to contribute .

The point that Ratan Tata drove a Honda coz he didnt trust his own Company made car is silly. Reasons :

1. Maybe he wanted a change - dont we all look for one ?

2. Maybe he was checking out competition - no harm here either.

3. Do the owners of KFC or Mc D never eat out in another eatery ? .. and if they do would it mean that they dont trust or like the food at KFC or Mc D ?

Lets give ourselves some slack.

Are you aware that rich people love to have car collections of different brands. So, what's big deal if he is riding a honda car.
