Sonia Gandhi and Congress Secret Billions Exposed

I suppose the single biggest difference between Congress and BJP is the Sonia Gandhi. A lot has been said about the lady in social media and elsewhere, but it remains a fact that she is an undisputed leader in congress. Big losses in UP, Punjab and Gujarat for a while haven't been able to dent her stature, Congress has always rallied behind Gandhi family scion.
BJP on other hand doesnot have an undisputed leader. Young people have connect with Modi, but he bitter reality is that NDA would form a government not BJP alone. There are enough detractors like Nitish who would never let Modi become PM.

Modi has an image issue but if someone like Modi truly wants to win the seat for PM, he should leave the BJP and float his own party based on merit and competence like himself. Change himself completely in that sense, so the majority of ppl can identify a person who is above all different from the same cup of politics. Damn I wish I could consult for him and plan his success.
No need for Modi to leave party but BJP would do well if they go alone to general elections and then form alliance based on their terms and conditions. That perhaps is the best chance for Modi to be PM.

I ain't no crystal ball gazer, but if Congress wins again in 2014, the next PM could be this man

I hope your right the problem is the masses are easily swayed, without educating our youth and creating jobs this democracy becomes a farce people vote for the name Gandhi just like in Pakistan they vote for Bhutto.

I have a fear what if Priyanka and Robert Vadra God forbid make a baby

they already have two. So next generation of looters ready to loot the foolish indians

In reality it was the Cong name that won them the 2004 election against the incumbent BJP not this corrupt leader Sonia, secondly in 2009 it was again the fairly honest MMS which gave them the second term ! I dunno how you can claim Sonia is the one leader that is propelling the corrupt pack of Cong, as far as BJP is concerned it'll be Modi that'll win(hopefully) them the 2014 term & no NDA ally will resist the powerseat as & when that happens !

Mate, I'm not suggesting that Sonia Gandhi Won any elections on her leadership skills. It was certainly anti-incumbency that led to NDA ouster in 2004 despite the fact that AB Vajpayee was still around.
My point is that Sonia has been able to keep the congress and UPA in one piece for close to 9 years now. Considering the fact that UPA had troublesome partners like Mamta Banarjee to deal with, to keep this rather ineffective alliance in power (albeit limbering) is no small achievement.

As for your second part about Modi winning single handedly, ponder over the fact if Modi alone is capable to power BJP to 270+ seats in Loksabha (i'm sure the answer is NO). BJP needs other regional parties to come back to power and pseudo secularists coalition members would not want to see Modi heading the government. NDA is in far bad shape than UPA is at the moment. (I mean we have seen Tamasha during Presidential elections).
Coalition governments are here to stay and thats the sad reality.

Fair enough about your assessment but it also shows how sleazy this Cong party is, you do know about the various plots they've hatched to remain in power right ? Mr. Vajpayee resigned due to some usul(dang :undecided: can't recall the Eng word for it right now) of his in 97/98 & he's the last true leader alive in this country cause the rest are all just so damn phony !

Modi will not win the elections for BJP alone, although I'm hoping he does, but he should still be able to make BJP the single largest party in the 2014 LS elections ! Coalition politics in only here because we don't have a strong party or a bunch of leaders unlike say the US, which is also a multiparty democracy, cause as & when we do all these regional/fringe parties will go back into oblivion from where they came from

Where do you think the BJP can better its performance? The only places I see it bettering its tally is Rajasthan & Maharashtra due to state incumbency against the Congress. Gujarat will be status quo & anti incumbency will hit BJP in Karnataka, MP & Chattisgargh. In three other states of the South, the BJP has no presence, nor will it do anything of note in Odisha, WB & the North East. In U.P., the BJP is in a dismal position. Where then can they get enough seats?

Sir, I don't see BJP gaining anything here in Maharashtra. The only ones to gain are NCP and MNS perhaps. After Bal Thackrey's demise the charisma is gone and that will surely affect BJP-Shiv sena alliance.
As for Karnataka Yedurrappa will cause enough damage to BJP in LS as well.
On the other side, in AP, Congress is bound to make heavy losses unless they make peace with YSR Congress. In Bengal Mamta has shown enough theatrics and Left could make a comeback.
I think the states that will decide next loksabha are UP and Bihar. Up like TN has become a state where no major national party enjoys a major base and it could be alternating between SP and BSP. In Bihar, anit-incumbency will surely hit Nitish but to what extent remains to be seen. Gujarat however is a
foregone conclusion.

The deduction of all this is we are staring at a much more complex political scenario and even more motley alliances.

I Suppose you mean to say USOOL (MORAL PRINCIPLES).

Coalition politics in only here because we don't have a strong party or a bunch of leaders

Couldn't agree more :agree:

Well yes but "moral priniciples" doesn't cut it for me, there are some words better left spoken in the native language as in this case Urdu
