Nation A has lack of technology in armament, so its people try hard to learn (or you can say "copy" if you really want) from the others and bring it to a domestic mass production level.

Nation B also has lack of technology in armament, but instead of learning ("copy") from other, they have done nothing but only purchasing from other nations. The funny part is, some people in NB dare laugh at NA since NA people are "copying" from the others.

"These NA people are real shameless!!!" said one of the NB guy.

and here is the list the "NB guy" listed:

ChinXse WS 10 A ~ RXssian AL 31 F engine

ChinXse J- 6 ~ RusXian MiG-19 Farmer

ChinXseJ- 7~ RussiXn MiG-21 Fishbed

ChXnXse H-6 bomber ~ SoXiet Tu-16 Badger

ChinXse Y-5, Y-7 and Y-8 ~SoXiet An-2 Colt, An-24 Coke and An-12 Cub

ChinXse new Yuan-class submarine ~ RXssian Kilo-class diesel subs

ChinXse HQ-9/FD-2000 missiles ~ RuXssian S-300 t

ChinXse L-15 trainer jet ~ RuXsia's Yak-130

I think the Russians are not quite happy to see this impressive list.

Back to the topic, hmm...what country do you have in mind?
Venezuela? obviously not, I assume.

The way you attack China is turning more mellowed and diversified!
Do not mind,just for fun...

I personally do not see as negative, if you copy from other, self produce it and/or develope further. So does every country, every company. Nothing is unusual here. Except from few exceptions (invention etc) nearly everything you use today is rather an evolution process than a big bang. Yeh! even the human being is an evolution process.

I really admire the Chinese how fast they learn, adopt and self produce everything. So enough praise for you.

China prefers copying and stealing tech via cyber attacks or spies, we prefer a different approach, this approach leaves a lot of doors open for us and also makes available further development of tech with the country that manufactured it in the first place.
We have a much weaker manufacturing base to start with - we are slowly learning the ropes by way of TOT or shared knowledge. Nation B aspires to share the gains and pay the real inventor and looks to partner him in the future thus keeping both the industry and the inventions alive for the future.

Nation A approach though will bring a lot of short term gains but will create problems in the longer run.
Nation B's approach though slower and likely to gain dividends over a longer period of time but will not harm in the longer run.

I am not saying what Nation A is doing is wrong - but both are approaching it in different ways that's it. But plagiarism will kill innovation.

Yeah plagiarism, says the guy who lives in a nation with nuclear weapons.
Why don't they just give up their nuclear power, since it were shamefully "copied" from the other.

The fact is, nation A receives the technology for armaments developing through purchasing from the other and create their own. I emphasis, they can make their OWN weapons, which is an advantage that NB doesn't have.

Yes it was nothing wrong until some NB guy jumped up and laugh at NA, what a shame.

I wonder if those Polish guy have ever said sth like "German has tanks!!! German copied from English guy!!! German is shameless!!!" in WW2.
