So i was at the maiden voyage of italias greatest ship

My girl and i sailed on the Costa Diadema from 7th november to 15th november. Costa Diadema is build in italy and sails under italian flag for the italian cruise line Costa and i loved it.

She combined gigantic size and power with italian style and elegance:

Our suite was awesome:

And so was the interior:

Since we booked first class we were allowed into the theater when the naming ceremony took place. There was a cardinal from vatican, the bosses from Costa as well as the yard Fincantieri and the Captain:

That was by far teh biggest and longest firework i ever saw. At the end all ships in harbor greeted the Diadema with their horns. And Diadema answered. Her horn sound was colossal. It was echoed from the mountains.

When we left port you could see hundreds of people at harbor waving and making pictures. Next day in Savoia people put a huge banner there saying: " be greeted Queen!". Costa Diadema has the nickname "regina del mediterraneo" which means queen of the mediterranean.

All in all it was by far the best holiday i ever had and a huge event and made me proud to be italian.

Diadema has a passenger capacity of roughly 4.900 i think.

Whats crazy is that we were completly booked out but you rarely saw anyone. The ship is so gigantic.

No i don´t work for Costa. ha ha i mean the ship was booked out.

And? So does Italy. It was not the ships fault and it saved over 4000 people. Come back when your country can build such a ship. Btw we also visited Barcelona. Was cool to see all the catalunian flags. Hope they get independence soon.
