Smoking leaves chemical traces on DNA

Great study. though in this politicised world, this study will be removed from the scene by the powerful lobbies of cigarette cartel.
This is hilarious to see some members childishly get annoyed on being tagged and claiming they never smoke, I'm on other hand feel happy that you tagged me since it add another for me to convince some my friends and dear ones against smoking. I personally never smoked in my entire life and I hate smoking and try to convince the people in my circle of influence against it.

This is a profound conclusion which we never heard before that smoking can even alter our genetics and I think if the research is expanded to include other consumables, we may find that everything that we eat or drink, affects our genes and that will prove why the religions (Islam, Judaism) have restriction on what their followers can consume.

Yeah.. the environment has a hard affect on our dna And this study is called "epigenetics". And how the restricted drinks or food affect us.. much of the things are proved like pork meat and etc.

It takes 20 years to your body to remove the effect of a single nicotine's pull.

By the way in Europe, women smoke more than men but in subcontinent especially Pakistan the trend is opposite.
