Well if you're blind jingoism makes you feel proud then good for you, Though it matter zilch to those thousands of poor mothers and kids that die every day of malnutrition and at child birth, When just a fraction of what is spend on the dick measurement contests would save thousands of valuable lives
Btw my comment was not aimed at any specific country but to all of S/Asia that has their priorities wrong
You got it totally wrong. How much do do you think is India spending on space travel? Its not even 0.5% of our GDP and yet we are steadily increasing our influence in this industry which has its own economic and scientific advantages.
You are simply showing pure ignorance and your typical western superiority complex here.... ever thought about the economic possibilities of space travel? Ever thought about the farmers and fishermen who can use data from satellites to their advantage? Ever thought about the increased surveillance possibilities for security agencies to protect our borders from terrorist incursions like during 26/11?
But thats not the real point here, India spends more on anti poverty measures than any other nation. The food security bill alone cost more than 20 billion USD! Yet, there are still hungry children in many states... and the reason for this are corruption and bureaucracy. Millions of tons of food simply rot because of sheer incompetence. And BTW, spending money on socialist BS like the food security bill will never give India longterm profits. The money could have been better used for our infrastructure.
And we dont buy weapons for "dick measuring" but do keep our nation safe. Look at the map of India, its surrounded by failed states and terror stricken nations. All development and improvements were only possible due to the fact that the Indian military safeguarded our borders faithfully for over six decades.
