And they are very expensive to maintain. I guess will locally manufactured parts it will be more affordable.

Additional 30 percent of taxes should be levied on local automakers depending on the extent of localization of parts in terms of value, not number of parts.
Of which 10 should be levied solely on the localization of engine.
So, if you manufacture engine completely 100 % locally, you are exempt from the 10 % tax.
