ALCON,

In the last few days, I've made several references to the folks at the SIPRI or Stockholm International Peace Research Institute and their extensive arms sales database.

Specifically, I pulled a report from their public database that shows ALL arms imported or licensed to Iran from 1950-2016.

Instead of hording it to myself, I've decided to post it for all to see and keep if you wish.

Some things to keep in mind when reading the report:
- It lists data by country of origin (aka who sold stuff to Iran)
- It then sorts each country's data by whether it was licensed to Iran or if Iran was simply a recipient of the arms.
- It will show the year the contracts in question were signed and when they were carried out, as well as extra details on many of the contracts.

Keep in mind this information is publicly available but is NOT infallible. The SIPRI is however, one of the few organizations who do this kind of work and they are well-regarded for it and IMHO, rightfully so.

So by all means, take a gander and feel free to discuss the contents of the report here!

An interesting find,I notice it repeats the claim that iran received the swedish rbs70 manpad yet I dont think that I`ve ever seen a single pic of the system in iranian service, have you?
They also dont appear to list the at14/9m133 kornet, tho it is possible that this is reverse/reengineered by iran from syrian samples.
Its a pity they dont list tank ammo, then we could see what iran received for its t72s,we know iran produces "mango" apfsds rounds but did they receive/produce others like the du "vant" etc.. or the at11/9m119 svir atgm.
