Should Yemen split into 2 again, Shia majority North Yemen and Sunni majority South Yemen?

Zaidi rejects the first 3 caliphs but they also reject Imam Mahdi. IMO Zaidi is half and half between Sunni and Shia.

Yemeni Sunnis are fairly moderate. South Yemen used to be a socialist country backed by the USSR and Cuba. The US and Saudi Arabia backed North Yemen which took over South Yemen in 1990 when Communism collapsed.

Zaidis do not reject the first 3 Caliphs, they consider them in error but not in sin. They also do not curse them as their Imam Zaid RA never did so himself. As opposed to 12ers who consider the first 3 in sin, usurpers, and are the only shias who actively curse them hence the hatred between 12ers and hard line Sunni groups.

I don't think the shia of yemen would agree or want it, they are only majority in 2 states sa'da and Imran with no oil or gas which is found mainly in sunni provinces like ma'rab and they will be landlocked. I know the 75% sunni of yemen would deeply love to see that, think of it as a shia or houthi would you like to be trapped in 2 provinces as a country while everything that comes in and out would be dictated by the "other" yemen. this is why they tried to use hadi to expand to the rest of sunni yemen but it seems their plan has failed now.
