Our government does not admit him to be a spy. If he is doing this on his own accord to gather information for the government then that is different. We are as clueless as you guys are. I am hoping you guys to inform us.

well, we have a historical precedence in case of bangladesh where similar tactics were used

i think Indian govt is simply replicating this, the thought process is to break up Pakistan into smaller countries and take our Kashmir and get acess to central asia and afghanistan

ironically where such an involvement was denied back in the 1960s and later admitted afterwards, today indian leadership both at political (BJP including PM) and technical helm(RAW leadership, defence minister) are opening admitting their invovlement in undisputed international recognized part of another country i.e Baluchistan(unlike kashmir which is internationally disputed through UN resolutions)

usually such involvement is not directly, i think he as only involved in planning (like any organized supporter) and through a big leak got caught..

anyway, i am surprised that indian leadership hasnt used any alternative narrative, like e.g "he was abducted from Afghanistan and he was an engr there"...its not that difficult to create that narrative with afghan govt and propel it through the very very strong indian media

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistani authorities took the shoes Indian spy Kulbushan Jadhav’s wife was wearing upon arrival in Pakistan, giving her an alternate pair before she was sent to meet her husband, according to the Foreign Office spokesperson.

According to the official of the Pakistani foreign office, Chetankul Jadhav’s shoes were taken over suspicion after authorities felt there was something fixed in them.

Chetankul’s shoes were kept for investigation, while everything else, including her jewellery was returned, the Foreign Office Spokesperson, Dr Muhammad Faisal said in a statement.

As the pair of shoes is in the custody of the Pakistani authorities, it was being ascertained whether the metallic objected suspected to be fixed in them is a camera of a recording chip, stated the spokesperson.

Jadhav’s wife Chentankul and mother Avanti reached Pakistan Monday to meet him at the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.

It was said that Chetankul and Avanti were asked to wash their faces, to clean it if they were wearing any makeup. They were also asked to remove whatever jewellery they were wearing.

The roads leading from and to the Foreign Office building were closed to traffic for the meeting. Walkthrough gates were installed outside the Foreign Office building amid strict security measures.

Commander Jadhav — an on-duty Indian navy officer working for Indian covert agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) — was arrested on March 3, 2016, from Balochistan, after he entered into Pakistan from Iran. He has been convicted of espionage and sabotage activities.
