PM Modi did what he could to get peace and even offered to trade big time. But you must understand that Pak Army controls Pakistan while its civilian government doesn't have any control. The PM there cannot tell the Generals to stop or not do something; he will be thrown out.

And generals don't care about economy, healthcare, education, social development, cleanliness, infrastructure etc. That is why you see most of the military ruled countries are in a pathetic state. According to Indian media reports, New Delhi has responded strongly, conveying the Indian leadership's resolve and ability to deal with Pakistan.

Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval held a high-level meeting, attended by Home Secretary Anil Goswami, Intelligence Bureau chief Syed Asif Ibrahim, BSF representatives, on the situation in border. Goswami was briefed about the situation by Director General (DG) of the Border Security

Force, DK Pathak. Also, Home Minister Rajnath Singh talked to the BSF DG twice on Wednesday.

The minister is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and apprise him of the situation at the border.

Union Minister of State (PMO) Jitendra Singh, who represents the Jammu Lok Sabha seat in Parliament, visited the border areas to take stock of the situation. According to reports, the number of casualties on the Pakistani side is higher than those recorded on the Indian side.

Envoy calls on Indian govt to observe ceasefire

You have neither taken action against the killers of the 2008 Mumbai carnage, nor have you done anything to dismantle the terrorist network on your soil that is aimed against India. The recent talks between foreign secretaries were called off because your undesirable and unwelcome high commissioner in Delhi met with violent fringe elements of Kashmiri separatists, funded and armed by Pakistan. Most Indians have now become so cynical and indifferent to Pakistan that they do not believe the news reported by Pakistani media (I hope this esteemed paper, in the interest of objectivity and freedom of speech which it professes to espouse, will not change, cut or even stop this comment) about “attacks” by Indian border patrol forces.
