What's new

shekh haseena's gift to Modi

Blah Blah Blah, yeah I know who my ancestors were...My mother is Bangladeshi...so in all likelihood her ancestors were pagan, so what? My wife is Hindu, so what? You stated that we Bangladeshis feel a greater commonality with indians, this may have been the case with those older generation who at some time where part of British india, but me and most of my generation feel no connection with your india....sorry its a fact, and this has very little to do with religion.

Younger generation in Bangladesh dont care much for india, or the "indian culture", just a few of the dwindling old people.

Why you getting hyper on an random internet forum? I already said whatever you feel, good for you.

I just countered your point when you said BD doesn't have anything in common with Indians. There is a difference between having similar culture/ history and feeling of commonness with one another (which obviously you dont feel).

Ah....back to old hobbit of cherry picking......you may first want to enlighten yourself, for what crime did Bhutto hang for. he was involved in political murder thus sentenced by the court. And i believe Indira Gandhi wasn't taken out by aliens unless you consider Sikhs not as your countrymen. :pleasantry:

She was assassinated for taking out the Khalistani terrorists/separatists, and yes I don't consider Khalistanis as my countrymen, since they don't believe in the idea of India.

Ask Musharraf how he d prefer to go, assassinated by Lal Masjid yahoos for what he did to them, or rot and die in jail/house arrest by his political opponents such as Nawaz. Only one of them is the honorable way to go, and it ain't the second one. tsk tsk.

Not true. Have been to Dhaka, Sylhet, Cox Bazaar at least 4-5 times since my childhood as my extended family belongs from Dhaka. People have more affinity to Indians than Pakistanis (be it Bollywood, Cricket/IPL, Bengalis in WB, same culture or whatever...). Other than being fellow Muslims, not many Bangladeshis feel any commonality with Pakistan. For every Jamaatis or MBI Munshis, there are atleast 20 others who don't have any past or present relationship with West Pakistan (as it is mostly called in BD) :)
wot, then its awesome, so they still consider themselves East Pakistan

.
Pakistan tactic 101, quote inflated Pakistani GDP and quote deflated Indian GDP.

Indian GDP as of now is 2.3 Trillion dollars.

yr GDP is somewhere around 1.7 trillion. I understand that there are contradicting sources but the most accepted and widely published figures r these.

Yes yes if you are living in 2013 that is. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Sorry man.... they hate you guys even more than us :)

But there are razakars, jamatis and like who love you.... eg. MBI Munshi, that IDune fellow...

Lol one was hanged by his neck and the other died under house arrest. I would rather be assassinated , than face such humiliating deaths at the hands of my own countrymen, the countrymen who I lead politically and militarily! tsk tsk.

Indira Gandhi and Seikh Mujib died as the leaders of their nation and are to this day respected, Bhutto and Yahya were disgraced and died under imprisonment.
meanwhile, Indira was assassinated by her own security who was supposed to protect her, and Mujib was assasinated by his own Army, wowwww

One thing was common between Indira and Bhutto/ Ayub.....

The former broke Pakistan and the latter made Pakistan bleed even to this day due to religious nutjobs and state proxies :partay:

Not getting hyper at all, just clarifying a false perception that indians like yourself bandy about...you rightly said that we dont feel any commonality with pakistanis but then stated some how we feel a greater commonality with indians. Majority of Bangladeshis that could remember 1947 have long since died out, and very few of those that can remember 1971 are still around.

Each day that goes by, there is still less poeple that have any emotional attachment to india, These are just facts, young people look at the US and the west even south east asia as inspiration not india....sorry.

Seeking salvage by switching goals, why am i not surprised.
Weren't those so called Khalistanis her personal body guards and those 2000 odd killed afterwards, suppose they were Khalistanis too.... tsk tsk indeed. And this notion of Musharraf rotting in some jail or house is just your brainstorm, for he was on tele just last night giving a detailed interview. The brave man that he is, he returned from Dubai upon his will to face any charges filed against him.

lol thats what u think. In south asia curiously its the indian economy which is today 1.7 trillion out of 2.63 that u claim. And pakistan is not interested in india. The future natural resources and oil lies in the west of pakistan so why not? Also pakistan's own geographical location is very good and we can will transit to countries like we give to china who has just invested 46 billion in our country. And as far as resources r concern we have our own resources by which we can sustain by ourselves for the next 100-150 years. We are basically an indigenous country.

So i dont see any reason why we should not say goodbye to south asia for long term future.
Those future natural resources and oil will not be given to pakistan free by the energy rich central asian states or Iran. You have to buy them with your hard currency which you will earn by your export. And for export, market size is the big factor.South asian market is 8 times bigger than Central asia+Iran+Turkey with booming economy and purchasing power. So if you neglect this market which happened to be right next to Pakistan than good luck to Pakistan economy.:p:P:P

Pakistan is still not a major oil gas producer.By your claim,if Pakistan become major oil gas producer in near future then you will not get your big customer in Central Asia or Iran because they themselves are big energy producers. And Turkey will purchase their oil and gas from Iraq or Iran because it is near and convenient to transport. So your likely customer will be South asian states and China. So you should not claim about Pakistan does not have any need of South Asia in future. In fact, no economic power can ignore the 1.5 billion consumers if they understand business.:-):-)

even if they dont, do u know how much resource rich pakistan itself is? Thats why i said we r a total indigenous country.

Didn't he complained of chest pains when court asked him to be present at the his treason trial hearing?

This is how the news was reported by BBC. a quote from the article.

"Pervez Musharraf is a man of strong nerves, but he felt pain in the chest and doctors are examining him" Pakistan's Musharraf suffers 'heart problem' on way to court - BBC News
