It looks, sounds and performs jus like an oversized FRS. WTF???
FT-1 concept was so stellar and fascinating and it could has competed with NSX and GTR. And with 911 and Jaguar's F-Type.

Toyota u have shot urself in the foot and stabbed us in the back.

Disgusting. The supra of the 90s was a car boys dreamed about. This is rubbish. Even the Cellica of the 90s and the MR2 were beautiful cars. Toyota never designed decent cars since.

The same is true of Mitsubishi. The GTO and the FTO were beasts, as was the Honda NSX. Honda made the Type R since, but its nothing compared to the NSX. Mitsubishi have the Evo but again it's a class below.

Also finally shout out to the incredible Mazda RX7 which was a wonderful car during its time.

The only Japanese manufacturer who still has supercar Street cred is Nissan with thier GTR.

Did you actually drive the twin-turbo RX-7? I've only driven the single turbo myself. (Manual transmission, of course.) I don't recall a problem in the rain. Sure it wasn't an issue with the tires?

I liked the old Supra but screw Toyotas anyway. More known for taxis. Insult to BMW badge photoppin it on a Toyota.

Only thing relating it to Z4 is the red and blind fanboys. I do like lexus tho.

I was a teen when these cars were in thier pomp. When I could afford to insure them I was a family man... lol

I owned 2 FD RX7 (white and forest green) during my racing days, rebuilt the rotary a few times as well - very easy engine to rebuild. We get Jap imports here in UK ... and the factory model was fitted with twin turbo. Single turbo is an aftermarket modification that pushes the bhp up to 700+ depending on size of turbo + other mods. Very few left in Japan now so prices have shot up - a friend still imports them when a good piece is on sale in Japan.

What I meant to say was 'round a roundabout in rain' was scary ... these are just so much fun to drift on a dry track!

Insurance with 5yrs NCB is below £1k pa, on a stock FD. Modified will be more. Buy one if you can afford it ... then track it!

My babies ... JDM RX7 FD and JDM Prelude BB4 2.2VTEC .... Prelude is one car I had plenty of over a decade .. that 2.2vtec engine is sheer addiction

Yeah dude the Z4 looks way better and has the engine and performance matching its size and class.

Whereas, Toyota didnt do justice to FT-1 platform. AT LEAST it should have been a V8 in 4-500bhp range.

Lexus is making some real good GT cars such as LC500. Which motor trend pinned against DB11 and it was a close competition between the two. Lexus did pretty good against an ASTON MARTIN

GUYS WHAT DO U THINK ABOUT FAKE CRACKS AND POPS IN MODERN SPORT/SUPER CARS???

I find them EXTREMELY annoying and fake for obvious reasons.

Bro the new NSX is also killing it. You essentially get a system resembling the Porsche 918 yet for A LOT LESS money like really a lot less. And it looks stunning as well, certainly more stunning than a GT-R.

GT-R is nothing special to me. It just seems to have more of a fanbase.
