Share of population living under 1.9$ a day

. .
I doubt all the stats provided by this twitter account. Yesterday I posted this same tweet in a reply from an Indian who posted a thread about 'worst performing currencies'. There is 0 links provided with the tweets to back up their claims. There is no news agency linked with this 'The Spectator Index', its probably some indo/pak/bangla twat tweeting from his *** about random things with out backing up with any data. Trying to get dumb indo/pak/bangla followers to establish his brand/twitter Instagram account.

This twitter account is not reliable.

Yesterday it posted "innovation rankings" and Pakistan was ranked 60 (In real life Pak is wayyyy lower) and even worse, india was ranked 29 or something lol.

It's a fact that Pakistan has far less poverty than india...but I won't use this source however.

What you guys do not get is that measuring today's poverty only presents half the picture.

Literacy will dictate the rank and hierarchy of nations in the future, when they compete in skilled export-related jobs and the exported products they produce with those skills. In this respect Bangladesh is already ahead of the game and presents something for rest of South Asia to emulate.

Bangladesh spent only 50% on per capita education compared to larger countries such as India and still achieved much more effective results. The secret is high commitment of the govt. to eradication of illiteracy and the grassroots education mechanism they built so even the remotest villages benefitted.

What you eat today is important, but what you eat tomorrow is even more so.

Depends on your definition of poverty
As of now World Bank uses two lines (5.5$ and 1.9$) numbers of both were accurate in this twitter handle

Sources, please?
