Shakib reclaims top spot
Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has reclaimed his spot at the top of the rankings for One-Day-International (ODI) all-rounders in the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings released yesterday.
Shakib currently has 422 ranking points, while Pakistans Mohamamd Hafeez is second on the all-rounders list with 400.
Shakib sits atop the table which includes such names as South Africas Jacques Kallis and Australias Shane Watson. The left-handed all-rounder last played ODI cricket in March 2012 during the Asia Cup in Bangladesh, in which he was named the man-of-the-tournament.
Shakib is currently recovering from surgery on his shin, which took place in Sydney in late February, and hopes to be fit for Bangladeshs tour of Zimbabwe starting from mid-April.
