Not in support of the violence but if one can imagine the frustration and desperation of general populace, they'd literally eat these politicos alive.
Why one go violent? What made him go violent?
A bad act should be condemned but since most people are happy on this incident is speaking volume that these politicians are the same people who has brought this country to this level and injected violence in their mindset with their screwed up ideas and policies. They were being voted to secure their rights, and make legislations for them, instead they're coming to show solidarity with the people in the hospital which is not their job - sit in your office and mind your own business.
I heard yesterday that naan is available in parliament house for Rs. 1. the last time I was in Karachi, it was Rs. 8 for general public.
The people suffer but the ruling class live like princes. They dont pay bills. They dont have to buy groceries. They dont have to line for CNG. So what happened to Shakeel Awan is justified.
I wont say violence must be condoned. The societies become violent when the rule of law is replaced by rule of injustice. There is gross injustice in our society. In fact the system is biased towards the powerful.
Just yesterday, the mayor of Toronto was kicked out of office 2 years in his 5 years terms. The reason. You in Pakistan will laugh at it. He did a corruption of $3,150 (approx. Rs. 305,000 ). In Pakistan we reward those who kill and do corruption with highest offices. And then we wonder why we are where we are?
Only when you have no mercy for corruption, will you get a Pakistan that you really deserve. Right now, the attitude of forgiveness we have, however noble, is giving us bad leaders who only want to serve their party's or family's interest, not the country's.
